The San Diego Santa Run welcomed 3,000 costumed Santa Claus wearing runners.
One of San Diego’s great community running events is the San Diego Santa Run, which takes place in Pacific Beach every December. This year’s race was December 9, 2018 and was again managed by by the San Diego Running Company, it features 3,000 costumed Santa Claus runners making their way up and down Garnet Avenue.
For me it was a heap of fun providing the soundtrack for the morning, which included a mix of uptempo holiday tunes and of course hyped up versions of popular tracks to get all of the runners pumped up to run/walk their 5k race.
A special congratulations goes out to my speed nephew, Joshua Abrenica, for his second place overall finish!
