Asian Business Association Organizes Second Taste of Asia - Four Points Sheraton

For the second year in a row, the Asian Business Association of San Diego organized the Taste of Asia on May 15, 2018. This event brings various San Diego restaurants under one roof to delight the taste senses of the more than 200 attendees.

Attendees enjoyed delicious sips and bites from breweries and spirit purveyors to established and up-and-coming restaurants. Samples included everything from poke, ramen, Kalua pork tostada, pad thai, hot oil wontons, chocolate liquor, dumplings and ube cake.

Tesoro’s 25th Wedding Anniversary Party at Tom Hams

The Tesoro’s looking as good today as they did on their wedding day 25 years ago.

On March 31, 2018, the Tesoro’s celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a big party that was essentially the same pomp and circumstance of a wedding that took place on the same day.

Close family and longtime friends celebrated with them at Tom Hams on Shelter Island in San Diego. It included some performances from relatives and of course a lot of dancing.

Lisa and Lori celebrated their 60th birthday at 2Planks Vineyards in Vista, California. 

What’s better than celebrating someone’s birthday? How about celebrating two? And the celebrants are twins!

That was the case for this dual 60th birthday party for Lisa and Lori. Their party took place at 2Planks Vinyeards in Vista, Calif., and included close friends and family (including classmates from elementary school.

Qualcomm Year End Party at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton

Qualcomm’s engineering team celebrated the year end with a team wide party at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton. 

It’s never too late for an end of the year corporate party … which means, February 24, 2018 is not too late for a 2017 party. Such was the case for this bash with Qualcomm (hey they are busy people), and it’s hard to get the right date for their 400+ employees and guests.

The event took place at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton and was a great end of the year celebration. A Bollywood style dance troupe entertained guests with a 30 minute performance, and then the dance floor opened up.

2018 Lunar New Year Celebration with San Diego Asian Business Association

It is the year of the dog in 2018. A special lion dance performances kicked off the Chinese Lunar New Year event at the 2018 Asian Business Association’s annual celebration.

Each year the Asian Business Association of San Diego celebrates Lunar New Year with a celebration with its members and the local business community. This event took place on February 15, 2018 and was hosted at the offices of Becton Dickinson.

The celebration was complete with a lion dance performance, food and a visit from San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer.

I was there to provide a fun atmosphere and the right vibe for the night.
